Project description

The planning of a holiday home in the Dubrovnik coastline was marked by a plot sitting on a large slope along the edge of the construction area. Therefore, it has been a challenge to accommodate all the amenities needed for it to be a holiday rental, such as an outdoor pool, gym, sauna, accommodation unit and a partially covered terrace.
The facility is organized in such a way that it is parallel to the layers of the terrain and the order of arrival and use, starting with the parking lot, main building, terrace and ending with the outdoor pool located at the most removed part of the lot, comprising of a slightly higher and more isolated position and offering a beautiful view of the sea.
The house is designed in a traditional style, with a special emphasis on stone walls and the traditional roofing material used in Dubrovnik, called “Kupe Kanalice” originally hand-manufactured in the shape of the human thigh.
